Team photos are oh-so-fun for me! I love when a coach calls and says, “Hey, I like what I’ve seen you do. I don’t want the same old photo of kids in two boring rows; our team wants something edgy and new. I think you’re the person for the job.” YES! That’s exactly what the coach of the 2013 GHLL American League All Stars said, and it was such a fun session. Coach even called in some favors and surprised the boys with an extra-special photo location: Cheney Stadium! Thanks, Coach Reed. It was way cool!
The Ultimate Dress-Up Fun!
I was thrilled when her mommy emailed me with a photo inspiration she saw on Pinterest: little girl dressing up in her mama’s wedding gown. So sweet! We quickly scheduled a session and just had a blast posing this little beauty in Mom’s pretty bridal dress. This was also special because it was a celebration of Mom & Dad’s wedding anniversary. These were fun, joyful, and precious photos to capture. For many reasons, this family continues to bless me!
Thinking Ahead …
The weather is begging you to schedule your family session now! Just a final reminder that I only have a couple of openings left next week for this great summer special. I’m already thinking ahead and hoping to capture lots of Christmas card family photos at the beach, waterfront, other beautiful Gig Harbor summer locations next week. Join us!
Cutest Family of Four
We met at one of my favorite Tacoma locations for this session. Give me green grass, brick buildings, some class architectural beauty, and a darling family, and I’m a happy picture-taking-lady. Scheduling a family session over the beautiful Washington summer months provides some of the prettiness you see here. It’s a great time to update your family photos!

Great Fun in the Gig
Such a joyfully family, full of big love! Right away, I could tell that this gorgeous little boy was the apple of his parents’ eyes. They were fun, casual, B-E-A-U-T-I-F-U-L, and so very cool to work with. So glad we got to spend this time together, capturing meaningful forever memories . . . because this little guy will never be this age again . . .
Let’s Play Ball!

Many of you know, I really like taking baseball photos. I like the springtime all-American feel that Little League imparts. Capturing small moments in a game just makes me happy. Whether it’s a dusty slide into second, a 9-year-old pitcher’s hand on the stitching, a batter grabbing sunflower seeds from his back pocket, or a team celebrating together; I love photographing all of it!
Love to Laugh
Our “Girlfriends Weekend” away was delightful in every way. These special ladies have been by my side . . . forever. Two of them since early childhood, two of them since later school years, and one of them since birth! They are a part of me, and time with them fills me up. We enjoyed having our kids along for this weekend getaway, and our lovely Seabrook home-away-from-home was a cozy fit for all of us. To sum up our time away, one word: Laughter.
Lifestyle Photography: my personal project
I have long considered diving into a personal project – photography just for me – and a few to share. But I couldn’t figure out what story I wanted to tell. This week, I’ve been stuck on the couch, on vacation from school, time to sit still. think. listen. It’s refreshing. And, after three days immobile, day #4 brought on a strong desire to take pictures! Surprise. And, my personal project hit me: Lifestyle Photography. Love. I do have a story I want to tell. And, some of it is great for sharing, while some of it is privately my own – because it means something to me, and I want to keep it my own. Lifestyle photography aims to capture and document real-life situations in an artistic manner. I’m having fun. These are my people, and I love them. I hope it shows!
