Spending the afternoon with this very-cool gal was a treat! She is a golfer, currently attending Bellarmine Prep. We spent our time together on the Canterwood golf course, and had fun traveling the paths together. This beautiful young lady has a poise and sweet elegance about her that I could feel in her smile as I photographed her, and again as I edited her images. She reminds me so very much of her mommy. All my best to you, Miss A, as you look to the future and follow your dreams. Go, Lions!
Tornado Soccer
So glad Scarlett came along!
When a family arrives for a session and their dog is the first to greet me, I know it’s going to go well! It’s so great to include the four-legged member of the group in these keepsake photographs. This year, it was great to see so many of my clients bring their dogs along. I’m so glad Scarlett was able to join us on this day!
This family is dear to me for many reason. I loved being able to spend time with them and capture the beauty that is their family.
Casual Headshots

So many recent clients have requested a “casual headshot” for various reasons. These images are often used as profile pictures on social media sites for business purposes, or on web pages. It’s quick and easy – painless, really – to schedule a headshot session. I usually have your images edited and emailed to you within 2 or 3 days. I’d love to set up a headshot session for you!
Gig Harbor High School Class of 2013
Senior photography provides the opportunity for some of the coolest experiences! I love meeting new people, and hearing their stories. This family found Sunrise Photography via my soccer team photos (another avenue I love). They booked a 90 minute session, including 2 locations and a few outfit changes. We did a bit of Gig Harbor waterfront, then moved to a local park, and ended on the baseball field. It was a beautiful day, and really great to spend time with this 2013 grad and his mom.
Friendship is for Photographing!
These beauties are dear friends. When they realized they had lots of various pictures of some of spending time here, and others of them together there, they discovered that what they did not have was one single amazing image of the four of them together. That’s where I came in!
It’s easy to remember to schedule a portrait session for our family or a child’s birthday or even an anniversary; but, how often to we carve out time to have a a keepsake photo with our dearest girlfriends become a reality? Not often, I’m afraid. When these lovely ladies approached me with their idea, I jumped on it! And, I offered a special rate (I do that when something fun and unique intrigues me . . . and I really love girlfriends!). I was so thrilled to be able to document some sweet moments these gals shared. And, our local Morso in Gig Harbor seemed like the perfect place to make it happen.
If you have unique ideas for events you’d like photographed, get in touch with me! I like this stuff.

engagement love at grandparents’ beach
Yes, they are as sweet and lovely as they look. This couple is so fun to work with! They are laid back, and let me play around with ideas; which leads to fun photos. They had some great ideas of their own, too. They made this cute wooden sign for their “Save the Date” cards, and brought their “best friend” along to help pose.
The most special thing about their session, however, had to have been the location. We met at the family home in Bremerton. It’s a beautiful spot that looks directly at this beach and those beautiful mountains. Grandparents live on the property, and I thought of Grandma the whole time I edited these images. She wasn’t able to be at the session, but I hope the images find a special place in her heart.
I’m looking forward to sharing this couple’s wedding day with them this summer. It was a delight to work with them!
tiny little love
Nothing sweeter . . . a newborn photoshoot! This well-organized mommy scheduled her newborn session in advance. And, then the baby decided he didn’t want to wait that long. He came early, and I was delighted to be able to move the session date up. It’s so sweet to capture a newborn within the first few days.
I was happy to have my sister along to assist. She’s also auntie to this little newborn beauty. (Yes, boys are beautiful, too. I know, because I have two of them myself!) We were smitten with his cuteness. It was fun to see Mom, Dad, and Grandma all enjoying the session. Daddy is awesome – he helped throughout the entire session and you could see lots of love in his every move. This little guy is well-loved! And, isn’t he just the cutest thing? He really is beautiful.
Congratulations, Grant & Wendy, and thank you for a great morning! I’m still smiling.
fun little senior session
Is she adorable, or what? This senior photo session was made especially fun because artistically trained mom was along for the ride. She was really fun and helpful with things like: posing specifics, lines, negative space, etc. Some of these images were perfected by Mom’s great eye and helpful hints here and there. Super fun!
I could have photographed her all day . . . she’s as sweet inside as she is beautiful on the outside. And, the really cool part? She doesn’t act like she even knows she’s as pretty as she is. That makes her even prettier.
